Well, I'm unsure whether this is a bug or not, but here goes nothing...

I played through SoA and reached ToB.
I ressurected Jon and tossed him out of the party immediately.
After a few in-game days, he got damaged suddenly (about 24 damage), so I healed him. (Pocket Plane)
After another few in-game days he suffered damage again and he died. I can't ressurect him since he's not in the party. (Pocket Plane)
I played through ToB without ever entering Watcher's Keep during SoA and ToB. I never had a talk between Jon and my PC or party.
When I reached the throne of Bhaal and finished confronting Melissan, Solar appeared and after a short talk she brought Jon over there, even though he was dead. He demanded my PC's soul, and I had no choice but to let him take it.

Is this a bug, or is this planned? Just checking ^^;;

'Due to Rielev's mediocre spell, my body will disintegrate within hours if I leave your presence. It would last longer within your Pocket Plane though.'- Jon's words.
He hasn't died finally ? only his new body was destroyed and he was banished back to Abyss, so Solar can summon him to Prime. And if you tried to redeem him and fail ( you leave him and hadn?t gave him Bhaalspawn soul ) this is normal ending. ( If I'm not wrong of course :D )

Ahh, a planned event, then. Makes sense. Thank you. :P
Next time I'll either refuse to summon him, or complete his redemption, then. Hee hee ^^

Well, if you bring him back and do not promise a soul, obviously he would not be able to get any hooks into you and you can leave him out of the party of kill him... The thing is though why install LR and go into all the trouble? LOL On top of all else if he dies while linked to you, your PC loses some HP I believe...

Freedom cannot be equated with goodness, virtue, or perfection. Freedom has its own unique self-contained nature; freedom is freedom ? not universal goodness. Any confusion or deliberate equalization of freedom with goodness and excellence is in itself negation of freedom, and acceptance of the path of restraint and enforcement.

Well, I made a mistake and I paid for it, obviously.
Poor Aerie, now she and her child have no more husband/father.
Oh well...
