Well, I can't decide. Each option has a whole host of story opportunities, so I figure that I will put it to a poll.
If you are unfamiliar with this topic, go HERE.
If he's human, then that means the brothers will be full twins - and that opens the opportunity for story dealing with that fact - the connection between them, so on so forth.
If he's a surface Half Elf, then the blood tie is thinner, and the way they treat each other is much more important.
If he's Half Drow, then as above, only magnified. Whether Grim accepts Raine because of his tainted blood really becomes a big deal.
Please, any thoughts/comments are very much welcome.

i say half drow its more anti-paladin 
i had a bottle of relish and mayonase and i put them beside each other and they had a fight and when i opened the fridge there was tartar sauce everywhere

Half-Elf. Not Half-Drow since anything Drow is a highly overdone cliche. You can easily make the elf part be from one of the more racist surface elf groups, or one of the groups that does not have good relations with humans. So you could really get the same effect you are going for in the half-drow, but without as much cliche.

Assuming human (Which the great majority of you say you want) then yes, I'll be using the same model for both of em.
They migh have different hair colors and skin gradations (You can dye your hair, and you can have a deep tan.) but they'll be similar.

Mostly because I like the idea. It's something that, to my knowledge, hasn't been done before - I know the Tiefling sisters are sisters, but I don't think they're twins. (Could be wrong)
Also, it reinforces the duality of the universe - one is Yin, and one is Yang. Light and Dark, blah blah blah...
Plus, it's a convenient but believable plot device for a few things.

Looks like I'll be going with human. They'll be twins, although I am unsure whether they should be identical or fraternal. I -will- use the same model for the portrait, though.
