I plan to start a BGT game, with DSotSC. But by the time to switch to TOB comes, (I play slowly) there will be new weidu versions of SOS, and TS, CTB, hublepot etc.. Can I re-install then and take advantage of the newer versions? Am I correct in thinking there is a point in BGT in which one switches games and all quests from the previous section are complete?

I tried BP but didn't get past the wraith. Hence my desire to leave out TDD and use weidu versions of the other BP mods. I have downloaded a large amount of mods and plan to install BGT, DSotSC, BP(-TDD), CTB and maybe NEJ, Hubblepot and Solaufein.

See attached pdf of an excel file for informal modlist

I assume the "wraith" you mention is the one in Jon's dungeon? If so, play NeJ with BP, NEJ will allow you to level up once or twice and you will have enough armor and magic items to smash him in just a few hits.

The transition between BG 1 and BG 2 is the point in the game when all BG 1 quests are done and you are now in Jon's dungeon. The only problem with your idea is that between now and when you get ready to reinstall all these mods, your worldmap may need updating. The worldmap is saved into each saved game and changes made to it from a mod will not show up in your game. Therefore, you may have problems with your saved games if you move them to a new install of all the mods.

Ah, OK then I'll try BP(v5.x)-BGT-NEJ then.

By the way, is there a mod or commmand line option that will allow you to go direct to the last saved game? It would be very usefull, but since I can't find it I suppose there are technical reasons why it's difficult?

Do you mean you want it to automatically reload the last saved game? Don't know. You can quick save with a button I don't know if you can quick load with one button. Of course if you hit it at the wrong time, you have to start over. :)

I mean setting up a desktop icon that will go directly to the load screen or automatically start the game and load the most recent save. :P This does not seem to be part of the original functionality.

IWD II has a "Quick Load" button on the main menu that loaded the quick save without needing to go into the open save game screen. Something like that would be nice to have in BG II. I don't know if that is possible though.
