I've just tried to install tbp and it seems there is a sort of strange problem with the strings added by ts.
the first problem I noticed was with the ts npc you meet near the exit of the initial dungeon. when the npc spoke there were tdd kit descriptions and my answers were the name of those kits.
The same problem there is with Ribald (the merchant) but not with other 10-11 original bg2 personages.
obviuosly I've the complete install + patch, there was no error during the tbp install and the same problem there was also after the second attempt of install.
i've also some weidu mod but i don't think they are the gulty.
thanks in advance
Return To Trademeet (http://rtteng.altervista.org), my mod for Baldur's Gate 2. Try it!

Somehow you missed a step during the TS install (not that hard to do really). Are you running the Auto-Installer? That is usually the best way to make sure all the files are installed correctly.
Tired of Bhaal? Try some classics mods instead:

This is a common problem many of us have who are installing the Big Picture the first time. From what you describe something went wrong with your installation. You really have to track down the latest install guides on the different forums and make sure you are following all the instructions. It sounds like you're trying to install the non-WeiDU version of BP, make sure you aren't using files intended for the WeiDU version. The good news is many have succesfully installed the non-WeiDU version of BP . . . just it took at least 2 or 3 attempts.
(PS: A complete install + patch is not likely since there are multiple patches for BP).

or maybe I could try the new weidu version (If I'm not wrong there is it for few weeks, uhm?) but I'm not very enthusiastic of a long 4-5 kb/s downloads...
