I am using the weidu versions of TDD and SoS with the patches Horred provided in the Yahoo group. I am also using Y's SoS patch from the forum here. I just finished all of Selence's quests and got the key from her, got the scrolls, yadda, yadda.. and went to Umar Hills. Tried this about five times and every time after movie #2, it goes to loading area, followed by a CTD. Any and all help welcome here, cats. I'll even settle for a clua code to skip the movie and get on with the game.

***EDIT*** I'll even settle for a shadowkeepr fix for this. My lady will kill me if I have to do another install.

I tried CLUA-ing to some of the SoS Areas, and that seems to break everything. I also tried CLUA-ing Arvin Kothonos into the Inn in Umar Hills, and he just gives me his Dialogue from Soubar. SO stuck here cats.

Maybe a Set Global (and how to do that) would help me? I would offer money if I had some...

If every SOS area crashes upon loading, it's possible that the tiz haven't been unpacked succesfully. Could it be that, after install, you closed the dos prompt with the "x" instead of hitting enter?

Not the case this time TB. I waited FOREVER with my slow processor to finish them (I think it was about 20 min for it and TDD). I do appreciate the help though. The SoS areas load properly when I jump to them, but it fubars the quests rather badly. Charlotte won't join up for example, as the half-orc, or the rabid animals are no where to be found.

In charlotte's area, hit x. You'll see the x.y coordinates of the mouse pointer, and the area name (6 characters long)
try the following command:

CLUAConsole:SetGlobal("CbStartingCreaturesCreated","xxxx",0)
where xxxx is the area name (in non-weidu sos it's ar4220)

It could be that the area doesn't have the script properly set... if you can use NI you can try to check that.

Eh no luck with that, but again, thanks. As for the NI bit, I am a tard when it comes to modding. I was proud of myself for being able to make Shar-Teel's armour removable with NI today.

Looks like I may just be SOL with the Soubar quest.

**EDIT** Forgot to mention that with Clua codes I brought in the orc and Char did join me, but sadly Seanas' patch he gave me to make her loose the zoo did not work. It is here for those who might not know what I am talking about.

Personally I think that post should be stickied. Great NPC, but who needs a zoo to manage?

***EDIT #2*** Pretty sure I know why she still has that damn Lion. I C&Ped the BCS from the S&H patch so I could controll her a little better. It has refrences to the damn thing. Even deleted the animals from the SoS folders. Not sure if that is the only place they need to be deleted with the auto-biff script though.

Guess my best bet it to identify the scroll so I cannot do that quest so I can do the stuff at Umar Hills. Part of me wonders if it is The CoM Encounters mod messing it up. That one does add content to UH and I had to manually remove all the files they added to the Druid Grove. Was getting a CTD everytime I went there. Posted in their forum about that, but as of yet none of them have responded.

I think that there is an unofficial patch for SOS that addresses this issue. Just jump over to the forum to check it out

I appreciate the effort, but I mentioned in my main post I was using Y's patch as well. Oh well, seems I am able to go though UH with the scrolls in my bag of holding without it starting the quest, so it is not so bad.

Doh! Guess I should read the post in more detail before chiming in. When I had the problem I did an area jump straight into soubar and then went back to charlottes area to pick her up and it worked fine for me. I can't remember the area codes, I had posted a solution to this a long time back on teambg and plaguezone but they are both history

Heh, no worries. Just glad to have someone try to help.
