After installing KOTOR 2 and start the necessary adjustments in its graphic options I have noticed a rather strange thing.
No matter the level of resolution 800x600, 1024x768, 1280x1024 or 1600x1200 the menus in game , for example the action menu in the left bottom corner, the minimap, the portrait or the bar in the upper right corner do not change at all. Their size stays fixed no matter the level of resolution.
I opened the swkotor2.ini and under the Display options it says width=640 and height=480 at all resolutions. I changed it to 1280x1024 but nothing has changed. Although an aesthitical problem the fact is that a lot of space is wasted this way because the specific graphics are very large like if I play at a standard 640x480 resolution.
Any help on this will be highly appreciated!!!

maybe your graphics card isn't good enough?
I apparently have a high level of empathy, combined with a low level of sympathy... weird

No its not a bug, I think he just wants to know if there is any way to resize the menus and such. To my knowlege there isnt a way to do it.
Forward he cried from the rear
And the front rank died
And the general sat and the lines on the map
Moved from side to side.

I run the game in a system with an Intel P4 2.8, Nvidia FX 5900 128 MB and 512 MB of DDR2 Ram so I am way ahead even the recommended requirements
Tom is right, in KOTOR 1 the change of resolution increased or decreased the size of in game menus which resulted in a more appealing and balanced view.
Obsidian (former Black Isle) did it again! I remember from the days of Torment when the game interface was many years ahead its time then the interface in BG1 which was of lesser quality and the more improved interface of BG2 to end to the gaming interface in IWD 2 which was in my opinion rather mediocre. I can not understand why they have not just make some improvements to the original interrface of KOTOR 1 addind things but leaving the overall philosoply untouched.
Another point is the low quality sound and the fact that although I have a Soundblaster Audigy 2 soundcard surround sound 6.1 or 7.1 is not working.
Well the game seems very promising but those little things are that can make a difference. Let's hope that Obsidian will address these matters in a future patch.

I wouldnt get your hopes up, I was distinctly dissapointed with the technical side of the game. Its still good though
