not sure if this is the right place!

Seems as this is the most active forum alogn with G3 but i figured id post the question here.

Anyone heard on the progress of Dragonlance TC?

I am really excited bout the game. I have read post that the creator Max has disappeared. But some of the other guys on the project are really active here.

SConrad whats going on with DLTC? can you shed some light on the project? a new demo out?

Thanks!!!

Crazy but true, DLTC has its own forum at http://www.dragonlancetc.com/forums/ . Although, true enough, asking this question there will get about the same answer--yes, nobody's heard from Max for a while, yes, work is proceeding at a very slow pace, yes, people are trying to figure out whether and how to forge ahead with additional content for the project.

Not all DLTC related work stopped, but currently no new content is being added to the game. We got sufficient area art and there are even ideas how to continue.
What DLTC currently misses is an NPC writer (though SC volunteered 6 months ago), and a coordinator.

asking a question there will both not get your question answered and getting the topic turned into something completely aside from the topic... :glare:

well DLTC being dead is such a shame. I felt it was gonna be a great game, i mean i had a great time with the demo.

You have all area art and main plot lines figured out?

I do not know how your mod is structured, but what I would suggest for moving it forward is the following:

- If Max (who seems to be a project lead) is absent, select an energetic lead who is present and will be willing to share the responcibilities or step aside once Max is back
- Log your team members and see what imput you had from them in the past three month. Take the workload off from everyone who did not do anything during that time.
- Divide what needs to be done in manageable pieces and assign person responsible for every piece of work.
- If insufficient amount of writing is the concern divide the writing load by either selecting the central editor or assigning a character per writer.
- Prepare the character conceptual sketches to give out to the writers wannable
- Recruit new writers by asking them to submit a writing sample based on the character concept sketch within two weeks with five-ten banters on it. Select based both on promptness and quality
- Make sure that all the material is immediately posted so you have an idea of what's being done
- Monitor author's performance closely during one or two months (some work in large batches, some supply steadily)
- Make sure that everyone knows that 2 months without a line barring pre-approved circumstances will have the workload transfered to a more productive person
