This is a semi-bug, or rather an oversight. I assume you haven't yet gone far enough in the romance that Edwin has received a certain letter? The problem is that I didn't want Edwin to run away from Athkatla while his new quest is active, but unfortunately he protests even before the quest starts, confusing players.

No, he doesnt receive a letter. The Romanceactive is now 2, but just for a short time. So its no problem to rescue Imoen now ?

So, if I understand you correctly, you have reached the point in the romance when Edwin and you are a happy couple (Kissed, made love etc.) Then, you shouldn't have to wait long before Edwin gets the letter I mentioned, and his quest starts. Once that is done, you can leave Athkatla.
Again, this is a bit of an awkward glitch - Edwin isn't supposed to object to leaving until his quest has actually started, but it seems he does.

Nope, although there's always the possibility of a random banter. I usually get Jaheira or Yoshimo's teasing banter on the morning after Edwina's dream LT, but before the following LT.

hmmmm how many time is between the first night and the first kiss? In the game its now seven days ago and no first night.

I tried now nearly every inn in Atkathla and nothing happened.
Romanceactive is still 2.

I encountered this bug when I played the mod for the first time. The "opening night" LT was skipped for some reason. However, the romance didn't get stuck, I just got the next LT. Strangely enough, this time the said dialogue triggered as it should, though the mod version is the same.
Seems like it's a matter of luck
