Here's an interesting thought (for me anyway! :D ). It's a line I'm pursuing in my mod but I'm not sure of the feasability.

Vampires can be infected voluntarily or involuntarily. Has anyone ever heard of one being uninfected? If so, was there a timescale involved i.e. from infection to cure? Anyone any other ideas or info?

As I understand, a fully turned vamipire lacks a soul in its Faerunian incarnation. That means that the vampire, literally, has no life to return to (and, subsequentally, no afterlife). Divine intervention, perhaps...

Curse of Vampirism (Su): Any humanoid hit by a hopping vampire's claw attack must succeed at a Fortitude save (DC 13) or contract a curse that turns her into a hopping vampire herself. Over the course of 1d4+1 days, the victim slowly transforms into a vampire, growing fangs and long fingernails and becoming more bestial. To stop the transformation, the character must receive a remove curse spell before the process is complete. Each hour spent hopping or dancing on pure sticky rice delays the curse's onset by 1 day. (As with any physical exertion, a character can only dance on sticky rice for so long before tiring: After moving around for an hour, each additional hour inflicts 1 point of subdual damage on the character, cumulative?1 point the second hour, 2 points the third hour, 3 points the fourth hour, and so on.) Once the transformation has run its course, it cannot be reversed by any means short of a wish or miracle.

Wish is a spell, no?

Aha! This gives me room for what I want to achieve! Thanks, Kulyok and Ashara - you've just pushed my plot forward.

I think it is a spell, yes.
http://www.systemref...ls/Miracle.html (though it's 3.5ed)

And it also seems that my serial's(and mod's) plot went down the drain: I thought that it was totally impossible to return the person vampirized back to life... :( Ah well. I'll think of something.

Wish and Miracle are very rare spells, so unless the person is very rich or influential I'd say it is almost impossible! ;)

Alas, the person is CHARNAME.

So, the story does not have to end there - it might not be a bad thing. :)

For those who like happy endings - of course, it might be good. :)

Though I have an evil opportunity in mind: CHARNAME may perform the resurrection, but only if she accepts godhood - as by Ao's edict other deities cannot interfere in the Bhaalspawn affair. Ahhhhh... could be nice.

Yes, I always liked that idea - I even tried to write a fiction about Valygar post -ToB based on this premise. She ascends to save him from the Wall of the Faithless, he turns bitter and all that.
