tob mod won't work

HELP! I tried installing the tob mod part onto my computer but it won't work. Somthing like fatal error dialogue permission denied would come up. And i tried to look at the dialouge file in the BG2 installing engine and it wasn't read only (as someone else had that problem) Anyway, for some bizzare reason it just won't work! In the middle of my game Edwin turned to talk to me but there were no words! So someone please help me!

Did you try to install while you had programs that accessed game data (like Shadowkeeper or Infinity Explorer) open? That'll cause that error too. (I learned this the hard way... 
)
Sounds like you've got dialog string trouble there. Try talking to Edwin and telling him he looks funny.

Ok...when I installed the mod I didn't have anything else on, and as soon as I got to TOB I can't talk to Edwin anymore. The screen just says 'Edwin have nothing to say to you.'.

Do you have the ToB patch installed? If not, you get corrupted dialogue.

First, thank yuo to everyone who helped me, or tired to (glare at computer) My computer is XP but I had hte poatch. Anyway I think there is something wrong with my computer full stop as I tried to install Saereleth (agh, can't spell) and Yasarena (can't spell that either) and they just both won't install. Well, the blank diagloue happened. So I got quite mad and uninstall the whole game and then install the patch, and then Saereleth adn Yasarena both work so hopefully the Edwin TOb will work too.

I just installed the mod onto my computer and it is working! YEAH!
