Does anyone know which district of Athkatla it's supposed to be in? I'm thinking of possibly adding it as part of a mod.

I'm not sure, but I wouldn't worry too much since BG2 misrepresents Athkatla a bit already.

The Athkatla presented in BG2 actually conflicts very little with the brief description of the city given in the Empires of the Sands and Lands of Intrigue sourcebooks.

The major conflicts (e.g. there haven't been any actual temples in the Temple District for almost 100 years, and the Five Flagons and the Den of Seven Vales are in the Guards/Gate District) come in Volo's Guide to Baldur's Gate 2, but considering this book was published around the same time as the game and thus Bioware never actually had the chance to read it before or even while making the game, I think they can be forgiven ;).
