When I try to talk to Lysan the barmaid, it keeps saying Lysan - has nothing to say. You have to talk to her to get a mission to complete the Vale. She is just standing in a corner in the tavern and won´t move. Any suggestions??

I tried to create another Lysan by cheating but the same thing happens there.

My installation is BP-BGT-NJ and the last time I played there was no problem at all, I talked to her and got the mission.

The first thing people will want to know is which version of BP-BGT-NEJ you're playing. If it's the old, non-WeiDU version, then there's not much anyone can do (not a great deal of support for the old versions around here). BGT-WeiDU is at v1.00, BP is at v1.76, and NEJ is at 6.02 currently. Are you using these?

If you can get Shadowkeeper or something to check the Global Variables related to Lysan, you could try using the CLUAConsole to change the global variable and see if that changes the dialogue options. Sorry, but I can't give you more specific help since I'm not playing that version any more.

Good Luck!

Thanks Derkoth.
How can I do that? I know how to use CluaConsole, but I´ve never changed the GLOBALS.

Damien, I have already answered your questions. You CANNOT change my GLOBALs because you are not a modder, you have no idea which GLOBALs are connected and how it is complex. Changing Lysan related GLOBALs will ask for changing the Kresselack quest GLOBALs and so on. You'll just mess my mod doing so. Please follow the recommended installation procedure instead of solving problems which shouldn't be solved.

Problem solved. I just loaded a save from the beginning of NEJ and this time it worked so I guess there was not an installation problem. Thanks everyone for trying to help me.

And Vlad, I know it´s YOUR mod and I know that you spend a lot of time doing it and you´ve done a great job but there´s no need to be rude. Keep up the good work with NEJ.

I believe that what Vlad meant was that you can fiddle with variables if you want to, but you should be aware that due to complexity of variables used in NeJ chances are that you'll ruin mod instead of fixing it ;)

How can I do that? I know how to use CluaConsole, but I´ve never changed the GLOBALS.

While there's indeed console command to change variables I never used it and I advice you to avoid it as well - to say the least, it's very inconvenient to change variable without seeing it's exact name and current value. I personally liked how variables was handled by ShadowKeeper, but rumors are that SK became increasingly faulty when used with heavily modded game. OTOH Near Infinity works flawlessly, so I recommend you to try changing variables with it. What you should do is to check Lysan's dialogue with any utility you prefer (IE, NI or decompile it by WeiDU), find out what are the prerequisites for the phrase you need to appear and set all required variables accordingly.

Edited:Oops, looks like I answered a little too late :whistling:
Anyway, glad that you solved it :)

Well, if trying to help is called to be rude then I'm quitting. You are playing the old buggy and light version for which support was withdrawn long time ago. Good luck!
