I've just finished the Planar Sphere quest, but when I take Lavok outside the sphere, he dies immediately. Doesn't get a chance to talk, nothing. Obviously this means the quest doesn't finish ... everything just keeps going on as if it hadn't.

I'm wondering whether it has something to do with the Planar Sphere Mod which I have installed ... but it's not supposed to change any significant stuff BEFORE the end of the original quest. Log attached.

This problem and the fix is discussed under the "buggy indestructible mobs" post in this forum. Seanas posted the fix.

Incidently, if you dont care about the xp or dealing with the fix, pick the second choice in Lavok's dialog , that you dont trust him, when you talk to him the last time in the Planar Sphere, you will get it as a stronghold, but no xp.

you'll probably have trouble at the end of the planar sphere quest too: Lavok is still dying wihtout giving XP, the sphere as a stronghold or clearing out yr journal of quest notes. you've got two options here: remove LAVOK02.BCS from yr override folder, or drop the attached LAVOK.DLG into yr override. note here that if you've installed NPC mods that add interjections with lavok that using the .dlg i've attached is a bad idea, and you should go with the 'removing the script file' option, even tho this option is untested.

BTW... After I installed latest versions of TDD, TS, SOS and few additional (in comparison with previos installiation) mods I also get dead Lavok after finishing Sphere. I put Lavok.dlg into override and reloaded game. Do you know what happened? Lavok gave Sphere to paladin .

Looking at lavok.dlg I failed to find check for PC class. And for having another stronghold as well

Yes, with the new lavok.dlg, Lavok gives the Sphere to anyone.

CLUAConsole:SetGlobal('PCSphere', 'GLOBAL', 0) cancels that.

Here is missing check for PC class. The only changes that I've made are two added checks. Sphere is still avaliable for those who has already got stronghold.

ha! that's funny - of course, i've got multiple strongholds installed, so the version of LAVOK.dlg that i posted supports multiple strongholds . well, i did say it was a workaround!

yes, that's what the multiple strongholds component of BG2Tweaks allows.
