They should ask for the bow AFTER you bring them the body. Greedy bastards...
They did that only after I had already clua'ed my way to the Northern Forest, and got the Bow. They didn't respond to my having the body by itself, only the combination of the body and the bow.
Also, I tried reloading a save game from before I killed the Demon in Ulgoth's Beard, and then went and killed off Brother Hasdar before going to Haeball, and he did give me the Bow Quest, however there still was nothing that triggered the North Forest showing up on the Worldmap. I still had to Clua there.

I don't see any dialog file revealing this area. So I guess the solution would be to head north out of the Northern Citadel or the Woods of the Dead. I don't know if the Fields of the Dead will display this area, probably only the area south of it.
The only thing that might reference it was Haeball mentioning the bow was in "the Elves Wood" when he was giving the quest. What exactly is the process for a dialog to trigger the revealing of a location on the worldmap?
I looked at the AR01PB.are in NI. It shows an Exit40PB located at x3857,y173 which is right at the stream area going north out of the area, but when I go there in my game, I get no travel wheel.

I think there's a bug in the Solitary Valley Demon Quest. The Demon gives you the quest to bring them the body of the mage that summoned them, however when you return with the body, they do not respond to it. What has happened is I created the body of Ley'Doch (NTMISC13) and they responded to it, instead of the body of the mage. At that point they gave me the Elven Bow Quest.
EDIT - OK. I fixed it. I went into the NTINDFIG.dlg and changed the references to NTMISC13 to NTMISC06, and they react to the mages body now. I'll attach the .dlg at the bottom. Also, I edited NTLLINDE.cre so his dialog reference was NTLLINDE.dlg instead of LLINDE.dlg and his dialog and the Beloved Arrow Quest kick off correctly now. Llindelin's .cre is attached too.
EDIT 09/15/06 - Since everyone's Dialog.tlk is different I removed the NTINDFIG.dlg as it seemed to cause problems with different installs. Easiest way to fix the problem is to open the NTINDFIG.D file with a text editor before installing the Mod and replace all the references to NTMISC13 with NTMISC06. The .dlg file should compile correctly during installation and resolve the demon reaction to the body issues.

You won't. This is a reference to where the party will appear on a map when entering the area, not a reference to leaving a map. The edge of the map is how you leave the map. AR40PB have entrances from AR01PB and AR10PB. So other areas will not reveal this area, only those areas, and only if you try to leave the edge of the map so the Worldmap can display the new areas.I looked at the AR01PB.are in NI. It shows an Exit40PB located at x3857,y173 which is right at the stream area going north out of the area, but when I go there in my game, I get no travel wheel.

Removed NTINDFIG.dlg. Fix is posted above in blue.
