Dunno. What I've done is replace a useless spell for a better one. EX: Mage Armour -> Expeditious Retreat. Flame Arrow -> Arcane Sight (It told you what spells are active around all targets in the area, each round. It took a while to make, and it got wiped when my PC crashed. Darn. ).How do I make any new, mod-created wizard spell (that it, learnable from scrolls or from game start) appear in the character creation sequence? How do I cope with the little available space?

Er, wow. Flame Arrow Useless... you have odd ideas.Dunno. What I've done is replace a useless spell for a better one. EX: Mage Armour -> Expeditious Retreat. OK, from what I can see, from looking at classic adventures, which adds spells to the pick lists, you just name it correctly. I.e. SPWI<lvl><[0-9][0-9]> - Ice Dagger is SPWI122, and 2122 is misnamedin spell.ids as WIZARD_PROTECTION_CIRCLE
So, you may need to have a SPELL.IDS entry for it, too.

If you put it back together I'd be very interested in taking a look at it.

I certainly never used it. Waste of a good fireball slot.
"Tyranny is a quiet thing at first, a prim and proper lady pursing her lips and shaking her head disapprovingly, asking, well what were you doing (wearing that dress, walking home at that hour, expressing those inappropriate thoughts) anyway? It's subtle and insidious, disguised as reasonable precautions which become more and more oppressive over time, until our lives are defined by the things we must avoid. She's easy enough to agree with, after all, she's only trying to help -- and yet she's one of the most dangerous influences we face, because if she prevails, it puts the raping, robbing, axe-wielding madmen of the world in complete control. Eventually they'll barely need to wield a thing, all they'll have to do is leer menacingly and we fall all over ourselves trying to placate them." -godlizard

SPWI801 is available, but not used.
SPWI806 is not available.
I don't know how SPWI110 (Identify) is available, though.

Flame arrow has a bigger chance to disrupt enemy casters

I always use precision casting while running down the enemy caster with a powerful fighter.
Fireball would have little use with this tactic.
