Keeping Drow items?

Is it possible to keep those neato drow items after you have cleared Otho's quest?

After emerging from the bandit cave they all turn to dust, but is there a way to keep them permanetly? I looted all the drow stuff i could find.

The only way i can think to keep them is to stick them all into a bag of holding and toss them in a dungeon, and clua the bag when im underground again..

I know there is a mod out there that degrades the items after a period of time, but i need a mod so they never turn to dust. :cheers:

Drow items should not turn to dust immediately. That is something that BioWare came up with for SoA to keep you from running around Faerun with powerful Drow items. In every Forgotten Realms book I have read (and I think I have almost all of them now) the items take several days or even longer to break down from the sunlight.

For DSotSC, I used the same code that is used in SoA to look through your inventory and swap out cool drow items for piles of dust (think of me as a mean Santa Clauss :devil:

)

The secret is to leave the dungeons from the way you entered, back out through the cave entrance near the firepit where the orcs hang out. There is no script here to check on your items.

i've read a couple of the books too, after Drizzt comes out of the underdark it takes some time for his equpiment to dustify.

On the subject of drizzt, there is always something that bothered me about the encounter with him south of High hedge.

If you manage to kill Drizzt shouldnt he have on his body the statue that calls Gwen?
As far as i remember Drizzt always carried the statue, the only time he didnt have it was when Pasha pook had it in his possesion, and even then Gwen disobeyed his commands because he was loyal to Drizzt.

So if you manage to kill Drizzt should he have the statue and if you summon Gwen he attacks you.. it would make more sence.

So about keeping the drow items, i managed to keep them by clua into the friendly arm inn, stuffed them all into the chest and went back for more

I know its cheating but i wanted that drow cloak for my thief.

Actually, Drow items no longer turn to dust. Thanks to actions of certain renegade Drow princess Drow items and Drow magic and special abillities work under the sun.
