Uninstalling Major Mods w/ BP

Obviously things are very specific when it comes to installation order. Several larger mods like TDD and DSotSC must be installed before BP, assumably so BP's files overwrite the ones these mods install with new ones that are compatible with the others. But what if I want to uninstall one of these major mods after having installed BP?
Im interested in The Secret of Bone Hill mod, but the dialogue seems a little sketchy and really pulls me out of the whole BG experience I enjoy, plus the incredibly generous selection of items for sale in the stores of a tiny island village. I dont mean to knock the mod's creators; making a mod of this scale is a huge undertaking and theyve not only created it but supported it through bugs and versions. Many people love the mod and I'm happy for them. Just, for this particular player, its not quite suited to my tastes. So... can I uninstall it without destroying my installation? Thanks.
PS: Im not very far yet with the megainstallation... Can anyone tell me; are any of the other major mods similarly sketchy around the dialogue or availability of unbalancing powers/items? Again, more power to the people that like these things but Id just rather not.

Hey guys, Im playing through BG1&2 again and loving it with the mega install... just one question though before I try this and mess something up.

If you have a saved game at the beginning of Chapter 4 before you talk to Pelltar at the Temple of Lathander, just don't accept his quest. That's the easiest way not to play the Bonehill mod without uninstalling and risking messing something up. Other mods that introduce some highpowered items are NTotSC and some in DSotSC. Once again, easiest thing to do is just not pick up or use the highpowered items. The content of the mods is great!!
It takes a village...
