I'm writing a mod in which I would like to include a barfight between my NPC and two civillians. I'm not sure how to go about this because:
A) I don't want either the NPC or the civillians to die (it's just a barfight, not an actual battle)
B) It's not going to be a fight between the whole party and the civillians, just between Kadreyel (the NPC) and the civillians. I'm not sure yet if I want the party to be able to jump in and help, because if they do they might kill the civillians, which would be bad.
C) The fight would happen just before the party goes to sleep.
D) I don't want the party's reputation to be affected, nor do I want the other bar patrons to turn on the party because of it.


These might seem rather noobish questions. This is because I'm a noob. Sorry about my noobism, but I'm working on it.

I'd make a cutscene. It doesn't allow player to interfere so you can script your barfight without a fear of consequences.

A cutscene would work just fine. Also make a special item for the two civilians, like Imoen's belt that makes sure the hit points do not drop below 0. Also make sure that the civilians do not do too much damage so your npc doesn't get killed either.
