what i've done to end the stutter:
- turn of ambient sound
- drop all containers
- clear /temp and /cache
- kicked everyone out of party to see if it was partymember quest related
quests i've got running but i don't suspect since progressing with them does not affect stutter:
- help drizzt finding his friends
- running the five flagons playhouse
- ruling d'arnise keep
- edwin and the nether scroll
- tirdir
- mage stronghold
quests i've got running but have been unable to progress/solve because of perplexity, those could cause a stutter:
- arlax: a ghost
- arlax: escaped prisoner
questbook relics of fullfilled quests (i've done those but some journal entries weren't removed (bug)):
- hunt for valygar
- gain sir sarles services for the temple
i don't suspect these to cause a stutter since the quest related persons give out the usual dialog like when the quest is finished
