Phaere sent me on my first quest to get the blood of the Elder Brain from the Mind Flayer Dungeon. I spoke with her and then went to meet Soulafein in the underdark. Spoke to him and went in the dungeon. Everything went according to plan. I cleared out the area, got the blood of the Elder Brain and escaped the dungeon. I then went back out to the underdark and spoke to Soulafein again but all he said was he didn't have time for idle chit chat. So I decided to go back to the drow city and speak again with Phaere but couldn't find her anywhere. Then I checked my journal and the quest wasn't in there. It was like I never spoke with her to begin with. But if I hadn't, then then why would Soulafein be wating for me outside the Mind Flayer Dungeon entrance? So I decided to clear out the Beholder Dungeon thinking maybe I did the wrong thing first but still nothing. Like I said, it's like I never spoke with Phaere in the first except for the fact that Soulafein was waiting for me out side the city. The reason I'm posting it here is I'm wondering if this isn't a bug from the Soulafein Romance mod I have installed, or did I just miss something? I hope someone her can give me a clue as to what it might be. Gods, I don't want to do this stuff over again, it's such a pain in @$$!

Thanks

the first quest is to rescue phaere from the midflyer. sola is waiting outside and when you speak to him he normaly says that it is time now to stop the mindflyers from there astral travel.
the last quest is to get the blood from the beholder or kuo toa or the elder brain and sola isnt waiting outside.

Thanks for the reply. I must have gotten Phare confused with the Matron Mother. When I initially approched Soulafein he did say something like that but after I completed the dungeon, he had nothing to say about it. Is Phaere in the dungeon? Or is she outside somewear and I missed the battle completely? Do you rescure Phaere by clearing out the Mind Flayer Dungeon or some other way? Like I said, I must be missing something.

spoiler:

okay, okay. the first quest when you enter ust natha is given to you by a handmaiden. you and sola have to rescue phaere from the illithids. sola is waiting down to the right by the entrance to the beholder and illithids. when you speak to sola he aks if you are ready or not. when you say yes, some flyers and umber hulks appear. this has nothing to do with the citys.
the last quest is given to you by the matron mother. to fetch the blood from the three major races. this is where you go into the citys. but it doesnt matter if you have already done it or not.

Phaere is not in the Mind Flayer dungeon. Sola should be waiting for you near the dungeon entrance in the Underdark. He is supposed to interrupt MF astral travel and when you meet him he tells you to wait and prepare. In a less then minute, MF should appear on the spot and battle would commence. With them there should be Pharae.
You might have entered the beholder caves in the time interval between the talk ith Sola and MF arrival. In that case you should wait some time near Sola, and the MF might appear. Do not leave the Underdark and it may work.
I am always right. I once thought I made a mistake, but I was wrong.

Sometimes I lie awake at night and ask "Why me?" Then a voice answers, "Nothing personal, your name just happened to come up."

Okay here's the deal, now I realize that I'm supposed to rescure Phaere out in the underdark by waiting with Soulafein out side of the Beholder area and it was the hand maiden who gave me that request, not Pheare herself of course (I got those two confused for some reason).

You might have entered the beholder caves in the time interval between the talk ith Sola and MF arrival.

That is excactly what I think I did. I went into the Beholder area and cleared it out right after my conversation with Soulafein instead of waiting with him for Phaere and her captors to appear. So I went back to Soulafein and waited and waited and waited, for a total of three Balduran days and nothing happened. No Phaere, no illithids, nothing. Just my party complaining because we weren't doing any thing. Not to mention the fact that I don't have a save anywhere near the time prior to going to the under dark (my most recnet save besides this is when I cleared out the Cult of the Eyeless). Is there any way I could fix this by using the Shadow Keeper, CLUA Console or anything else? Like I said before, and as you guys know, some of this stuff is a pain in the @$$ and I really don't want to repeat it.

Thanks for all your help guys.

You can try summoning Phaere via the CLUAConsole, although I can't remeber the command right now.
