There's a thing in IESDP's list of BG1's cheat keys that draws my attention:

NB. While the console is enabled, the following cheat is also enabled.
At the stat distribution screen, pressing CTRL+8 will yield maximum stat value.

However, I was unable to activate this trick. I believe the problem is that when I activate console and exit from game (back through the main menu and further into a character creation screen), console is no longer considered activated, but that's just an idea.
Did anyone know how exactly it should be activated? I vaguely remember that I've done it some 5-7 years ago, so I hope it's possible at all.

It's not Ctrl, it's the key just up from that(the arrow). And besides, it's the cheat enabled in the baldur.ini, that give you this option, not the cheat key plah...

Hmm, let's see...

It's not Ctrl, it's the key just up from that(the arrow).

You mean Shift, I believe, right?

And besides, it's the cheat enabled in the baldur.ini, that give you this option, not the cheat key plah...

Well, IESDP clearly stated that cheat console should be enabled, and I've thought that it require CLUAConsole:EnableCheatKeys() to enable cheat console, not just putting Cheats=1 in baldur.ini (which is always in my baldur.ini for debug sake). It could be mistake, of course, so I tried to check all versions:
1. Run character creation and used Shift+8, Ctrl+8, even Alt+8 when at pool generation and stats distribution screen;
2. Loaded savegame, used CLUAConsole:EnableCheatKeys(), exited to main menu and tried to repeat "1." again.
Nothing worked, so either I'm exeptionally dumb this evening, or there's something still missing in your instruction.

Yes, the key is the Shift-key.

In BG2:
In baldur.ini there is ''[Program Options]'' heading.
Enter a new line under the heading and type or copy in ''Debug Mode=1'' (without the ""s)

In BG1 and TotSC:
In baldur.ini there is "[Game Options]" heading.
Enter a new line under the heading and type or copy in "Cheats = 1" (without the ""s)

After this, go create the char all the way till you see the random stats and then push the Shift and 8 at the same time.

That's one of the first things I've attempted to do. Still, it don't work for me. I've tried the same trick in BG2 for curosity sake, and it works fine, although it was indeed Ctrl+8, as IESDP stated, not Shift+8. But still I'm unable to reproduce it in my ToSC.
Could anyone please check and confirm that abovementioned cheat works/don't works for them, so that I could see if it's my BG1 build to blame or if it's IESDP mistake?

I don't believe it works in BG1, unless you have tutu or BGT.

No, actually, I don't think it does work unless you've got Tutu or BGT. Engine improvements, I guess.

Ahh, thanks, it's good to know that it's not my fault in the end :)

You see, my girlfriend rolled pool of 95 this sunday on my ToSC setup. As I never saw in my life anything above 93 it makes me a bit suspicious, but now I see that it was nothing but luck on her side :)

Sounds like she got a lucky roll. Of course, that doesn't rule out the use of Gatekeeper... :whistling:
