I have always considered The Baldur?s Gate series to be the best CRPG of all time. After all these years, the overall quality of story, character, and game holds up, even when compared to newer games. But, after replaying it countless times, repetition diminished the experience. When you know exactly what happens next, and what each NPC is going to say, or do, the game becomes a little dry. So, for years, BG2 gathered dust on my shelf. I wouldn't part with it; but the desire to play it wasn't strong.

Then, I found sites like this one (years ago, I had stumbled on TeamBG, but they disappeared soon after). It is the creative and supportive efforts of everyone on sites like this one that has given new sparkle to a classic old gem. All the new, and expanded elements offered gives new life to a great game. I can't describe how enjoyable it was to once again hear ?Go for the eyes, Boo, go for the eyes!? I even had to smile at ?You must gather your party before venturing forth.?
