1. Her resistances (and it's without armor or any other stuff):

Where did all this resitances come from? Kit description tells nothing, will Ariena explain it herself? The same about enrage ability.

2. Her kit: it seems a little overpowered to me
Almost all barbarian's advantages + 6 extra profiency + all melee up to 5*. I think she needs more disadvantages

Btw, like this portrait Voice fits her very well also

Her armor gies the Slashing/Crushing/Piercing/Missile resistance 10 (I know you took that away here )
The other resistances come from her Aasimar heritage, which is 'talked' about in her joining dialogue even. These resistances are less than Haer'Dalis for people that complain about it!!! Look him up. Ariena is downgraded. They show only more because she is more of a front fighter (though not tank)

Bloodlust ability is as Minsc berserker rage, it is a little extra I gave her that comes from inner rage. She never gains any extra uses, again like Minsc.

Her kit is very much downgraded from 21 stars (! all 1 in every weapon) into 6 freely placed (by me ) which is nice, but still downgraded. I have to give in I let her abilities run a little bit longer.

Disadvantages
* Disadvantages against the Barbarian. She has -2 to damage. This downgrades her 19 strength to be the same as Minsc for damage.
* Barbarian gains his rage ability many times and that is a very might ability. Ariena has this only once. But a huge increase in Con, Str and immunity to many spells is very good.
* Barbarian gains the weapon resistances up to 20, which Ariena does not receive
* Barbarian can hold ranged weapons Ariena can not except for the sling
Equal
* What is equal is the armor proficiency
* fast movement (given in this is better for the Pit Fighter)
* dice
* Backstab immunity
Extra/Unique advantages
* Dirty Trick; nice to blind your enemy but it allows a save and less attacks in that round (it is quick but not without time). It is nice but not so good as a for certain working rage
* Extra proficiencies. Bare in mind though that you tend to use one or two weapons, it simply means she can wield this quicker in the game, but in ToB this advantages is neglectible as all NPC's are specialised. In case of Ariena you can decide better between two-handed or two-weapon (or even another type of fighting) and for weapons halberd, bastard sword or flail (I know I am forgetting one weapon here... )
* Up to five stars in proficiencies is where the kit shines in comparison to the Barbarian

All in all the classes are pretty up to par in my idea.

And you forgot about backstab immunity. Random-encounter thief (improved by "Sword Coast Stratagems II" mod) always failed when tryied to backstab Ariena.

About stars in proficiencies - anyway, i usually redistribute it for all NPC

Okay backstab immunity was forgotten, that is nice but a bit rare... unless heavily modded.

And... euh... I am not going to take into account redistribution of stuff... after all that is cheating

Yes, there are at least 3 very good mods, where this feature can be a lifesaver: Improved Anvil, Rogue Rebalancing, SCS2
Btw, could you give me a spoiler about Ariena's personal quest and alignment change?
I'm intrested about her possible alignment's and how quick this change may be done. (This is quite important in terms of compatibility, IA v5 is a mod for good and neutral party only It is highly recommended to have reputation 20 in order to see new quests and to forge some nice items)

Im not sure if this is the correct place to ask for spoilers on Ariena's quest (which is essentially what Im doing) but I figured I would try. First off though, I would like to say thanks for making a great NPC that is Ariena, she is quite enjoyable to have tagging along in my party, and useful too. The reason why I am here asking about her quest though is because, to try and be as simple as I can, the last dialogue I had with her gave me the distinct impression that her quest has started, so to speak. Some time has passed in game since then though, and while I figure that means I might stumble onto what is supposed to follow on in the quest eventually (a "clue" would be the word to use if I recall the dialogue correctly), I dont want to run the risk of missing it. Normally I wouldnt worry about missing much, but this time Im considering uninstalling BG II and starting with a clean game soon, installing all my mods again properly from scratch (had some unrelated problems), and Im esentially just looking to check out Ariena's quest and alignment shift before I do that.

Other than that Ill just say Im enjoying checking up on MftW, and Im looking forward to hearing more about Ian.

Seeing the PM's and the questions here I may have to include this in any update of Ariena...
It is indeed the so that due to Ariena's intelligence she doesn't quite know herself to find the "clue".
I will give a cryptic clue here, may that not be enough PM me
The clue would be:

Think of the nature of what you are looking for, what kind of organisation deals with such phenomena. Thus, which power group in the capital of Amn would such a secret be safe?

On the rest and Ian, we/I are/am trying our/my best

I cant figure out what to do next, after the bounty hunters show up (no quest entry in the journal or anything else, which could be useful for future versions). Just pointing me in the general direction should do it, if its not enough, I'll let you know. Thanks, I'm really looking forward to this mod, and love Kido and Ariena already

Ah, let us first see if this reply helps. If not you will can PM for your personal spoiler.

The bounty hunters group is her challenge - they are not related to the quest. Make sure you listen to what she tells you. This can also be read from the old post of Phlegmatic

So unless you have had a dialogue which indeeds talks about a clue, but better yet a question Ariena has, the quest has not started yet... the entry for the journal appears after the first clue is found, trust me it is logical when you find the quest.

Thanks, I had some problems and had to do a re-install (computer problems, not with the mod or BG2). I'll keep you updated on if i can find the clue (which I did have the dialogue about before).
