Also, I can't find a way to put Shar's water in the temple of Umberlee.
What do I do?

This problem was detected with the Shar Water thing in the previous version of CA. Curiously speaking which version would this be under?

And, I did click the area exit, but once I go out of the SW corner to go to the mansion, it takes me to the world map with no apparent haunted house...

As for the holy water, you must have the bottle with you in the temple. Walk past the priestess and go around to the bottom right area out of her view. In fact, you should get a message on the screen hinting at this. You will find one area of the water is a "container" that you can place the water into.
