Hello,
Since this is my first post it seems a pitty that I have to start out by having a problem. So sorry about that, and I do hope someone will be able to help me out. ;)

So, I installed the Secret of Bone Hill as a part of the SMM, http://www.shsforums...to-Installation, since I am new to using mods. My trouble is this: There are no items, not in shops, not in chests or other containers, apart from nasty invisible items called "Ground items" that cost 0 and aren't possible to remove from the inventory once bought or picked up (which I did since I thought that mabye they would fix themselves if I did).

The only items I managed to find are: A +2 sword in the northern Barracks - this item i found only once, later tries (reloading) reveals nothing, a few scrolls in the quest givers (whos name slipped my mind) home. Places that show only ground items include: The magic shop, the basement of the rat infestated barracks, all chests in Rensenford (sic!).

I think that this should be a SotBH-related problem, since I haven't had this problem in any other area?

Thanks,
dream

p.s. I attach the WEIDU.log

This has to be something caused by the SMM because you have exactly the same install as one of my more recent installs, but all the items were there, along with the icons. Before you re-install everything, try going to your Bonehill/bams folder and copy all of the files in it and dump them into your override directory. See if that works or not. If it does, great, if it doesn't, I'll do up a patch for you to run that will hopefully repair the problem.

Ok thank you very much! This didn't help though, I tried two variations, one where i started before going to R, and one where I was there already, alas, none worekd.

I have also done this: I opened some randomly selected bams from this mod in Near Infinity, I ended up with a cloak, a fireplace and a few obscene Lizard men (I think). They all seem to work well there, but in game, nope. Oh, btw. about the Lizardmen I could perhaps try and find them and see if they are "invisible" or if the monster gfx works? Where can I, in that case, go?

Finally, it would be incredible if you could put together a patch!!!

See if this will work for you. Put it in your BGII-SoA directory and "Extract Here", then run the .exe file.

I also have a similar but slightly different problem. There are no items in shops specifically (except for the temples). All the items in the shops do not have any pictures and are priced as 0 GP. Once I buy such "ground item" it can't be dropped. Oh, I also noticed this problem in spellbooks you find in Bonehill (Pelltar's, the gossip traitor's, and the evil wizard in BH's spellbooks have "ground items" in them). However, I did find stuff in chests, bookshelves, etc.

I also noticed this problem in Cloakwood Mines with a merchant in one of the buildings, and also somewhere south of Candlekeep (I don't remember where exactly) where there is a halfling merchant.

The patch in the above post did not work for me. It gave me an error when I tried to install it.

Attached is my Weidu log. It's exactly like the one at the top except that I don't have the BWQuest- The Black Rose Market Prices (The file I downloaded was no good, and I couldn't find a working download for it anywhere after my installation to replace it) and that I installed Indira NPC at the end. I also used the SMM installation.

Thanks.

ok did anyone figure out how to get around this? i'm currently having the same problem (no items) so it's something in the installation order of the mods as i didn't use the smm gui installer but rather my own script but with the same mods and order as smm.. in infexp the stuff looks normal (at least to a lamer like me, you can read what the store has etc)..

What I did was to install the patch that E posted (se above) and that fixed it. I don't know the reason for the error though, if that is what you asked.
