If I free (delete) a random slot in the middle of other entries at songlist.2da and after that install a mod which adds a song, will weidu recognize the slot that I've set free and assign this new song there? (provided it is the first slot that weidu finds free)

If yes, when deleting entries I should also erase the "blank spaces" that go right after the number, or leave the blank spaces there? Example: "13 ", with blank space.

Oh and does the same proccess applies for MusicList.ids ?

Interesting questionS. Don't know the answers.

You could also search/post them to WeiDU forum.

For future reference.. and in case someone wrongly presumes that I'm smart :whistling:

ADD_MUSIC only looks at the last line in the 2DA, fetches the number, increments it and appends the new line.

Could there be a workaround for this?

Provided there isn't, would it be troublesome to make weidu check all entries searching an empty one when using the ADD_MUSIC?

Obviously not. Deleting a slot would break all existing script launching music files, and as such I see no reason to encourage something like this.

Lets not say encouraging, but as a last resort when the list is full and there are songs unused or rarely ever play.

It can be quite helpful installing mods in a mega mod install.

Obviously anyone who does such (deleting a row) should be fully aware of what s/hes doing or face the consequences Posted Image

Again I don't know how troublesome that would be to code, so if it is too much work I understand :)

Read the numbers and rearrange them in increasing order.

OH.. I see now, its much more simple to just change the name and resource around the file for any number lower than the last ones, and deleting the last ones in case I want the new songs from a given mod.

Thanks for the patience (and I almost thought you were being rude, not that I didnt deserve some ill will due to my poor thinking), sorry to bother with a such a dumb question..

Again thanks Posted Image
