There are actually a lot of people who love MMOs...both the kind you pay for and the kind that are free. I wonder if the developers are attempting a combination of a game people liked and what's popular now.

I won't play it (I don't/ won't play MMOs) but I'm not bothered unless it actively takes the place of a sequel for the KotOR games.

I'll probably skip it, especially when you have to pay a montly fee.

I don't know if George Lucas is even able to spell "bad idea" anymore. But then again, it depends on your definition of "good idea," which seems to be filling the coffers of Lucas Arts. So, by that definition, George Lucas may be on to something there.

By all other definitions I concur with the statement below.

Yay? Nay.

"I've heard people complain that the game [the new Prince of Persia] is too easy, which seems odd to me, since I died more times than The Nameless One in a smoothie-maker."

Bloody hell the majority of the fans want Kotor 3 not some damned MMO. My god are the people at Lucas Arts really that stupid? On the pay to play BS I will never pay to play a game online when I already handed over $50+ on the game itself. People need to stop supporting games like that. There are successful free online playing of games out there. Just look at Battle Net and and Guild Wars.

Considering that LucasArts is rivaling EA Games for taking good ideas and turning them into... less-than-good-ideas, I think I'll have to pass.

"The righteous need not cower before the drumbeat of human progress. Though the song of yesterday fades into the challenge of tomorrow, God still watches and judges us. Evil lurks in the datalinks as it lurked in the streets of yesterday, but it was never the streets that were evil." - Sister Miriam Godwinson, Sid Meier's Alpha Centauri

I don't think I'll be playing it, and I love the KotOR games - but I'm not going to pay to use a game after I've bought it.

Back from the brink.

Like RPGs? Like Star Wars? Think combining the two would be fun? Read Darths and Droids, and discover the line "Jar Jar, you're a genius".

Second.

One can only hope they include a single player mode which won't cost playing.. but I doubt it.

Yeah, feeling similar here. If it were a MMO but free, I would play it. I think it's silly to pay after you've paid the initial cost of the game.

In other news, the screen shots from the Dragon Age article looked cool...I'm a bit worried about the fact that Bioware doesn't feel like disclosing any information on the setting or really...anything...except they keep raving on that it's like BG. Based on the screenshots, it looks a lot more like NWN2. Oh wait...the circles around the GOOD characters are yellow...not green. I think we may be on to something.
