how on earth noveria is her 'power level' linked to the health of her soldiers?
Maybe they're sharing some kind of pyschic link?
Ach, the unholy pact made by every second evil boss and their mothers too. .p
whatsmacallem the rounds that reduce rate of fire by 40%, increase damage by... er, a varying amount and drop enemy accuracy
Cryo round? I know the ones you're talking about, but I can't remember for sure what they're called now either. I've never used them. I like Sledgehammer and High Explosive rounds. Equip your whole party with Sledgehammer rounds and just watch your enemies try to stand up. Nearly every shot knocks them off their feet. This is especially great when facing Thorian Creepers and Husks.
Yeahh, seems to work best with shotguns; the extra heat builds up a bit too quick on assault rifles for my liking, and the effect isn't quite as dramatic. ^^
Now gah, what do you call those other kind of rounds.. THey're not cryo, though I think they're the latest stage of the cryo line, but they go under a different name. x_x
Things I've noticed with biotic powers:
Singularity sometimes seems to disable clipping on enemies, sucking them inside of solid objects. I first noticed this while playing Bring Down the Sky. It doesn't end until every enemy is defeated, and one of them had been sucked inside of a wall by a Singulartiy. Only his shoulder was sticking out, and only when he was peeking out of his "cover" to shoot at us. I used another Singularity to pull him out of the wall and finish him off.
Seems to happen every now and then with other abilities and what not too. Say, sometimes objects, inc. corpses and such, get stuck in the mako, resulting in some absolutely freaky steering problems.

Also, if creeps get knocked far enough into walls, they die; sometimes a throw will be enough to finish such straddlers. Though that's only sometimes. .p
Lift + throw. You mentioned this one. It's enormously fun to watch when outdoors. I once launched a guy at least half a mile into the air, and my companions just kept shooting him at him as he floated away. I have noticed that enemies don't seem to take any damage from falling on Hardcore and Insanity difficulty mode. I thought that they did on the lower difficulties, but now I'm not so sure. Do they, or was I imagining things?
I think you might be right, some vague memories spring to mind to support the idea.
But sometimes stuff dies just by flying outside the borders of the map, or into an particularly inaccessible area, so that might be it too.
Singularity + High Explosive grenade can be fun to watch too, if you can denoate the grenade right in the middle of everything. It does have the unforunate side effect of scattering your opponents in every direction, though.
Here's a great combination: Use a character with biotic powers and shotgun training(I was plying my Vanguard with Singularity bonus talent). Get Wrex and Tali in your party. Hit a group of enemies with Singularity. While they're clustered to gether in the air, have Tali toss in an Overload to disable their shields. Then hit them with a triple blast of Carnage from the PC, Wrex, and Tali. Nothing left but smoking embers.
Ah, the joys of realistically suicidal one-sided developments. I'll have to try that some day. .p
