I've installed a few mods and when I start a game, everything goes fine until I enter the world map, at which point there are no areas accesible to me except Waukeens Promenade and Watchers Keep and even if I try to go to one of those places, my game freezes. I recently uninstalled the widescreen mod but I was having the problem before that. My WeiDu log is below and I've got no idea what is causing it, sorry I couldn't provide any more info.

Needs to be installed at the end. So start over with a fresh clean install and install the world map last.

Hey guys, I've just finished installing all my mods, took a little longer than anticipated but I couldn't install the worldmap last, I had to do the tweakpack last cause for some reason it just wouldn't install before the worldmap one, it just kept saying the same thing over again in the installer but changing the pid each time, oh well. Anyway, I sped through the character creation and the tutorial at candlekeep and straight onto the world map from gorions rest and all the areas that should be showing were showing and there was no crashing when I moved to one of them so thanks for the help, it all worked fine.

There shouldn't be any problems, the why you had the problem, is because the WeiDU tried to auto update itself but just couldn't. Friends,
as I posted a few days ago in an own thread (which didnt get replies), I had quite the same problem. I read this thread and did a new install in the order as suggested.
It worked out fine in regards to the map, BUT:
It is still impossible to create a character with mage spell picks. I tried the char creation starting a BG1 game as well as a new BG2 game or new ToB game, always the same: a crash to desktop when asked for the spell picks. I also tried to dual-class and it worked out fine ONCE, but I tried it also to dual in BG2 or in ToB, both from fighter and from thief, in all cases (except the first one), the same crash when asked for spell picks during the dual process.
It worked fine with a bard because he gets spells at lvl2 and cant choose from the table, must learn from scrolls...
Who can help, please?
As stated, I use the german version, so in my WEIDU log there are some german files, but probably one can understand it also in english.

as I posted a few days ago in an own thread (which didnt get replies), I had quite the same problem. I read this thread and did a new install in the order as suggested.
It worked out fine in regards to the map, BUT:
It is still impossible to create a character with mage spell picks. I tried the char creation starting a BG1 game as well as a new BG2 game or new ToB game, always the same: a crash to desktop when asked for the spell picks. I also tried to dual-class and it worked out fine ONCE, but I tried it also to dual in BG2 or in ToB, both from fighter and from thief, in all cases (except the first one), the same crash when asked for spell picks during the dual process.
It worked fine with a bard because he gets spells at lvl2 and cant choose from the table, must learn from scrolls...
Who can help, please?

You get the crash cause there is a too long spell description for one of the spells....
There is a work around, somewhere. Or you could get the BWP fixpack, and re-install the whole thing, using it first after you have extracted everything in the gamefolder...
