I just started in on IWD, having skipped over it completely somehow - and I notice that once HoW is installed, the BGII avatars are used ingame... but they dont seem to be quite 'right'. Most notably, they don't have a 'combat stance', merely swinging and falling immediately back to the BGII 'idle' state. Is this normal, or is there something wrong with my install? If there is something wrong, any suggestions on how to fix it? If there is not something wrong with my install, is it possible to revert back to the BG1-style avatars (I think I remember this?) that are present in non-HoW installs? For whatever reason, this really, really bothers me, to the extent of making the game unplayable.

Do you mean that something interrupts the attack animation of your characters? they swing their weapons once than stay idle till the end of the fight? do they actually deal damage to the enemies (even if the animation does not)? It is a very strange behaviour, the characters should swing, stay idle until their turn ends (around 6 seconds) then attack again. Do you have any mod installed? Did you patch the game?

Yeah in IWD, they don't have a combat stance. They swing and then stop and look around and then swing again. I don't really understand why it's like that when it's not with BG,
