theacefes: You have to be realistic as well, you can't just be Swedish!

No offense but as much as I'd love a Yoshimo romance I couldn't play a vanilla, tragic/doomed one. It sounds like as well as punishing Yoshimo for forced betrayal the PC gets punished for loving him.My plan was to stick to the plot of vanilla BG, in which case it would clash with KY. I think it makes for much better RP opportunities/character development ect.
Maybe it would be of interest to purists or someone who has never played the game before or who likes to know that there will be a sad ending. *shrugs* I'm a happy, or at least happier, ending kind of girl.

I like happy endings too, but one needs a change sometimes. I think the romance will be much more interesting if he has to betray you than with the obligatory "happily ever after" scheme. At least it will be something fresh and new. You've my full support, DevaNo offense but as much as I'd love a Yoshimo romance I couldn't play a vanilla, tragic/doomed one. I think it'll make an interesting alternative to all the happy endings out there, and without wanting to give too much away, for Yoshimo, the ending is happy. I think that this way the romance will have a lot more character development for the PC. And I'd also like to point out that, if every thing goes as planned, there's no way the romance will end when Yoshimo dies. He won't be resurrected, or contact <CHARNAME> again in any way; but my plan is to have the PC's romance with him permeate the game, even in to ToB, long after his death.
I'd like to point out that the Xan romance has a very tragic and widely-found-out-about ending, as well, but it's still one of the most popular out there.

'Precciate it.

Though, if you want a premature romance ending, or continuation, or whatever really, could be added on for KY. In fact, YR could simply have an ending dialogue which ties in with our one about the geas.
I think we'll need to have a talk about this when my plans are more set in stone. The only thing I know is that I will never want a romance continuation. We'd maybe be able to work out some way of keeping Yoshimo without the romance continuing, but I'd worry about that being too out of character.
