Hey everyone,

I need some help in which mods to choose and in what order to install them.

Soo far i only used Tactics+Ascension+Redemption.

I want to try something else. I was suggested Sword Coast Strategems 2 and from what i read, i like it a lot. They say its more about AI then cheating ( like in Tactics ). Is SCS2 a good alternative to Tactics ? Also what i can add on top of that ( only what is verified ). I have to admit, ever since i found out about tactics a few years ago, i have been looking for a new upgraded tactics mod. One that would make the whole game harder, not just few hard bosses. Add new creatures to every area, make every fight stronger. Because i feel a little bit soo-soo like when i come out of watchers keep after i kill demogorgon and then go to that area which takes you to suldanessar and fight goblins and spiders on the way. I am missing some special spiders also, tough spiders.

Anyway give me your opinion on which mods i should install ( again, only verified ones, had problems in past with incompatibility and wont ever bother installing something that isnt veryfied ).

Tnx in advance !

Ermh, nothing except the Generalized Biffing and Widescreen mod, and few other such mods... but you have to realize that that's the purpose, the SCS2 should be used on top of everything else. Just begin to read of the BiG World Project... and you get the idea.

Of course you'll loose the selection options if you use the BWP's BWS to install the SCS2... or more like you'll loose the SCS2's full customization option... but the basic principle is the same, that the SCS should work with everything, and you'll just have to know which mods to drop out before the BiG World Install.bat installs them... if you want to do the final pickings.

Sorry i said it wrong. I meant what can i install beside SCS2 ? Is it compatible with any mod that are installed before SCS2 ? I am also wondering what the last fight with irenicus in hell will be like, since up till now i always played it with Tactics on insaine, should be pretty easy ( wont really say no to that, didnt like that battle much ). Anyway my point is, i want to get as many verified mods together, good mods that improve the overall challange of the game. As far as i understand, there are parts of ascension in SCS2, soo last battle in TOB will be the same as with ascension, balth can join, etc. ?

Well, have you began to read the BWP's .pdf file(English, German), as it has a lot of compatibility notes on it about the SCS2 and other mods, and conceptually all the Standard and Tactical Installations mods are all compatible with the SCS2.

Yea but i need opinion of players that used the mods. To see how they fit together, etc. I dont want to be a test mouse, i want to play something that has been verified.

Tough spiders: have you tried Solaufein NPC?

I played Tower of Deception + my own Dungeon Crawl + Assassinations + quests from Xan NPC only recently, and it all worked really well. I had to throw away the +5 sword from ToD, though. SCSII makes some fights harder, but it seems compatible - it is hard, though, especially with mages.
