I was just thinking the other day... you know in Castlevania: Curse of Darkness, you take a role
as Hector - a Devil Forgemaster. Devil Forgemasters are powerful human magicians who are followers of Lord Dracula. They are harnessing power of darkness
to create life - or demon familiars - to do their bidding. The power of a Devil Forgemaster is said to rival
even that of Death itself. So they are truly talented. Not only for their powerful sorcery, but their combat skill.
Because the discipline necessary to be a fully fledged Devil Forgemaster, they are very rare. Only two are known to exist. (In the Castlevania universe.)
It would be cool to be able to play as one of those in Baldur's Gate II.

Aside from manipulating with energies around themselves and manufacturing weapons of any kind with a mere thought - a
Devil Forgemaster mostly relies on their ability to summon powerful demonic familiars, which I
think would be great add to BG 2... since your familiars are interactive.
Each familiar they summon, have unique special ability - and although Devil Forgemasters
do create them, and the demons obey them - they do not have any control of their evolution whatsoever.
So, say you have a fell creature. Later, it can either become a Fire Elemental, or Earth Elemental. It is a
"choice of its own". However, the Forgemasters can revive their dead familairs.
Also, finally - if someone IS concidering of taking up this and making it... they might want to visit the page of this game as well.
It is in Japanese yes... but the environment, and the music present there should give a feeling and insight in the mysterious
world of a Devil Forgemaster.
