I'm faced with a new round of restoring clean critical BGII files and re-installing a huge stack of mods to play SoA/ToB on my Mac under OS X. I understand that BGT is playable using the BGII discs, and not requiring the BGI discs, which encourages me, since I've had my old software collection stolen, and never replaced BGI/ToSC. Anyway, I'd like to ask a few questions:
1. Has anyone had success installing and playing BGT under Mac OS X? I mean arrived at a game that's as playable as it can be, given OS X BGII's known issues, of course.
2. Does the BGI (or ToSC) game folder need to be in the same directory as the BGII game folder, so that they're effectively side-by-side, or is another kind of placement needed?
3. When the installer asks where the system root is, do I direct it to my computer's System folder, or to somewhere else?
4. Can BGI mods be installed and used in a BGT install? If so, are those mods installed the same way BGII mods are installed (folders placed in ToSC folder, then weidu-mac run in a Terminal shell to install the mods)?
I'd like to know what's possible and what the proper procedures are to do this. I've never used any WeiDU mods in BGI, only some old mod files of the .tbg kind, under Mac OS 9. The idea of installing WeiDU mods for BGI/ToSC, and being able to use them in a huge BGT setup, appeals to me greatly

Thanks,
Eric
