I am playing BGT with 4 components of the BGT Tweak pack installed, one of them being the altered Spawn behavior. I first tried BGT without this, but then spawns would reappear too frequently. Now I'm using the third option (spawns appear only once, no respawning). Here's the problem:
1. I enter any given map that has at least one random spawn spot, i.e. basically every BG1 map that is not a city.
2. I don't fully explore the map.
3. I leave the area.
4. When I return to this area, all the random creatures, that are supposed to be in a location I have not explored yet, never appear and therefore have never spawned at all without any chance to ever make them appear.
To rephrase this: The only way to encounter all the random enemies and therefore properly "finish" any map is to explore the whole area in a single session. Any map that is not entirely finished when left for the first time will lose all remaining random creatures, even if those creatures are still covered by the fog of war. Now my question: Is this supposed to happen, i.e. is this intended by the Spawn Tweak? It seems to me that "creatures appear once" should give the player the chance to actually encounter the random creatures once regardless of wether a map is fully explored or not.
This problem also breaks the Melicamp quest: I entered the High Hedge early in the game, for the sole purpose of getting Kivan into my party. I came from Beregost and went straight down the little path to snatch him, then got the hell out of there. This took about 20 seconds, I didn't encounter any spawns and the fog of war was only cleared on that little path. Now after a while I returned to the High Hedge to properly uncover it, talk to Thalantyr etc. The result: The entire map is completely empty. As I walked across the map to clear the remaining 90% of the fog of war, there was not a single random creature there, no skeletons, no nothing. Only those Gnolls with Perdue's short sword and the spider and ghoul in front of the abandoned house were still there - obviously, as those are fixed creatures, not random spawns. Since I never had the chance to encounter any of those skeletons, I now can't get a single skull to finish the Melicamp quest. Other skeletons on different maps do not carry that item.
Needless to say that this behavior is very annoying even without a quest depending on it. From Beregost I hurried to Nashkell and made my way to the Gnoll stronghold. The four maps between these areas that I had to travel across are now empty, as is the Beregost temple and any other map I had to enter once for gameplay purposes but did not explore. There is no fun in returning to those maps by the time you want to explore them, but all you do is wander across empty land and encounter only those few fixed creatures.

Random spawns are all gone

No, I didn't, that would be the second option ("spawns never appear"). I however chose the third one. I *want* the spawns to appear once, but they *never* do if the map isn't explored right away. That's the problem and I don't think it is meant to be like this. I mean, if those creatures DID spawn once without me noticing, and I DIDN'T kill them (since I didn't even uncover them in the first place), then where the hell ARE they now?Well, you chose that you wanted all the random spawns gone
