Ok thanks for stopping to read this =)
I have NEVER done any modding for these games but I just bought Baldurs Gate 4 in 1 and Icewind Dale 1 and 2 combo pack.
Could someone link a good place to go to learn where and how to install mods? I understand what mods are but I have rarely used them except for a few games but most were automatic installs and these take a bit of thinking so wish me the best of luck. Please just consider me an utter moron for this purpose.
So basically what I am looking for is a link for a list of ALL the mods I should get to download and install. I would really like to get all available mods that work together and have been proven stable. I LOVE extra content so bigger maps and lots of extra quests is great.
Also maybe a link for how to properly install a mod. How not to make to big of a file that might get corrupted, etc.
Any help is truly appreciated and if there are already lots of forum discussions on this just link me to them and I'll read up on them but I have never been good at searching forums. I did scan through but mainly saw posts from people already installing mods that know what they are doing which is certainly not me.
I really like the idea of the mod that links BG1 and 2 into one huge game so any tips would help.
Thanks in advance =)

Hello and wellcome!!! I just have one question for you... I was wondering if you have played through these games before or are you new to them as well?? The reason I ask this is because it's probably a better idea to play through the vanilla versions of the games first before you start modding them....But, if you are just coming back to them then go for it!!!

Thanks for the replies.
Yeah I played them back when they first came out so now I am playing again since there is a lack of good RPG's out there. I loved Dragon Age but was disappointed with the second one. Oblivion is good but I actually get motion sickness playing it LOL. Fallout is great but I am played out on it.
I am now reading up on different mods. Are there any good recommendations out there for mods?

Perhaps it would help if you mentioned what kind of mods you're looking for (gameplay tweaks, quests, items, NPCs, etc.).I am now reading up on different mods. Are there any good recommendations out there for mods?
BGI: If you're planning on getting Easytutu, this should help.
BGII: G3's Fixpack & Tweakpack are probably the easiest recommendations for a new player.
