Greets,
Installed everything fine, but the games still asking me to put the ToB CD in E:, which is wierd since here's my ini:

HD0:=C:\Program Files (x86)\Black Isle\BGII - SoA\
CD1:=C:\Program Files (x86)\Black Isle\BGII - SoA\CD1\
CD2:=C:\Program Files (x86)\Black Isle\BGII - SoA\CD2\;C:\Program Files (x86)\Black Isle\BGII - SoA\CD2\
CD3:=C:\Program Files (x86)\Black Isle\BGII - SoA\CD3\
CD4:=C:\Program Files (x86)\Black Isle\BGII - SoA\CD4\
CD5:=C:\Program Files (x86)\Black Isle\BGII - SoA\CD5\

Whats more fun is the ToB CD callout isn't there, and i can't find where it might be. I uninstalled and deleted everything and reinstalled it all, to the same effect. I could give it the CD if there was a drive callout, and point it to a virtual drive, but I don't know what to put to make it do that. Any thoughts?

Before you continue:
Uninstall your BGT installation, as BG2/BGT won't work in your Program Files folder. Install it anywhere else, but never in your Program Files folder.

The ToB CD callout isn't in Baldur.ini and neither in your registry. It's in BGMain.exe.

K, I'll give that a whirl.

For my education, is the x86 file also so cursed? Is it because of how Windows treats the Program Files directory overall?

It depends on your Operation System... in Windows 7 it shouldn't be, but the Windows Vista and Windows XP SP3 it might be.
The ToB CD is the games play CD, so it's required to be in the drive unless you use a no CD crack, and I don't use those... I have a CD-image made from the CD, so...

Still no dice. Installed everything alright in A c:\Black isle directory, and its still asking for the ToB CD. I installed everything fully and patched to latest version as well. No crashes, so no error log. Can I just run a No CD crack, or will that ruin everything?

Windows 7 is the same as Vista when it comes to protecting the "Program Files" and "Program Files (x86)" areas. Windows XP 3 has no such restriction though. Only Windows XP 64 bits includes such protection. But it's not really safe for gamers because of the lack of driver support.

I can't say much about a No CD crack. Depending on how it works, it might not accept the ToB executable file after patch by BGT. And BGT might not install properly if the executable file is patched by a No CD crack first.

In order to create and use a virtual CD image, you need a software tool such as Deamon Tools or Virtual Clone Drive: both have a free version.

Well, I have seen a few post that say that the Windows 7 "Program Files (x86)" doesn't have the protection... while the normal does, obviously.
What comes to the Windows XP, the Service Pack 3 adds(from what I have heard) the protection to the OS to the files in the normal Program Files folder.
There is not "Program Files (x86)" in the normal Windows XP (x86), so there is no need it to be protected.
