I have two questions:

1.: what is the name of the 2da table that determines what innate abilities a ranger gets as he levels up? At which level will a ranger have the ability to summon a familiar?

2.: is here any way to change the creature selection of the spell/innate Find Familar?

Ranger - CLABRN01
Archer - CLABRN02
Stalker - CLABRN03
Beast Master - CLABRN04

At which level will a ranger have the ability to summon a familiar?

I speak under correction, but I think it's level 6 ;)

is here any way to change the creature selection of the spell/innate Find Familar?

Sorry, no idea on this one.

Take a look in the GAM file. There's a section with "Familiar Info" in it, which lists CRE files for each alignment.

Is it safe to assume that the choice of familiar is hard-coded into the game? Perhaps it can be altered for rangers with a script? One of the planned components of Unfinished Business was to change the familiars that are assigned to rangers, but, if it's not something that can be changed...

As Sim said, by editing the GAM file you can modify the familiar for each alignment, but not per class.

TGM, you really, REALLY can't wait for my answers, uh?
( :P )

Anyway, I had checked those files as well, and it seems to me that only Beastmasters gain it, and at level one!

And as I just explained to you by mail, I wouldn't alter anything in this regard <_< B)

Ever forward, my darling wind...

You might have the CRE summonned via the GAM be an invisible (this might not even be necessary... the existing familiars could also be used) CRE which polymorphs into whatever you want via script. More control there. Hopefully LastSummonnerOf works with familiar summonning.
