Hi,

I'm using Windows 7 x64. I turned off UAC.
I installed BG, BG2, + expansions and patched them and saved a game in each one.
They are installedi n D:\Games\Baldur's Gate and D:\Games\BGII - SoA.
Then I installed the BWS into BG2 folder and ran it.
Checked the paths were right and I went with minimal setup + widescreen mod.
Updated and tested the mods.

Then when it runs BiG World Install.bat my options are:
English
BGT
Yes
Standard
DA
No adult content

The four mods detected are:
Baldur's Gate Trilogy
BG2 Fixpack
Restored prologue Textscreen music
Widscreen mod

For widescreen I go with 1680 x 1050.

It installs some stuff and its going fine.
Till it reaches the Baldur's Gate Trilogy - Core.

Then it goes in an infinite loop with this error:

Enter the full path to your Baldur's Gate installation
                then press Enter.
------------------------------------------------------
Checking C:/Program Files/Black Isle/Baldur's Gate
----------------------------------------------------------------
              Invalid Baldur's Gate directory, or
             incorrect Baldur's Gate installation.

It is safe to abort this installation by closing this window, or
                pressing Ctrl+Break three times.

Now I know that we're not supposed to install under the Program Files (x86) directory on Windows 7 (64 bit), but that is exactly what I did (I didn't realize I wasn't supposed to until later) and I haven't had any issues with either the install or the gameplay, other than some world map marker weirdness which I seemed to have solved by emptying the cache.

I'm not saying its a for-sure fix for your particular install problem, but I did not receive any errors whatsoever during the install when I used the Program Files (x86) directory.

Program Files (x86) didnīt work here, but Program Files did. And i had to start it with BGMain.exe.

I found the problem. Change the file path in BiG World Install.bat and run it (double click it).

Well, I don't know about the Windows 7 & 64 bit system, but I have had a report that it too didn't like the "Program Files (x86)" folder... it might have been caused by the Program Compatibility Assistant on Windows 7, but I know definitely that the W7 & 32 at least cannot use the "Program Files" -folder as the install folder, and the Vista 64 cannot use the "Program Files (x86)" -folder as the install folder.
