I searched the FAQ, which isn't as easy for a PDF and found not this error:

Archive bws_link.7z could not be found at ftp://bwp_update:guest@bwp.bplaced.net/bws_link.7z.

I even tried on google, no answers.

It won't download anything... is this more along the line of no longer in service?

No maintainer = no download-page = no files = no updates => Do not press the button.
It should run without the link-file, get missing mods from here.
