It seems I have two options, 1. dont install v3 beta till it is integrated, 2. install v3 beta without the fixpack patches and risk god knows what problems due to missing fixpack patches.

I'm not an expert of BWP but if I have to guess the problem could be that BWP Fixpack probably contains IR V2 Hotfixes, and trying to use those on IR V3 would surely mess up IR a lot.I tried to install Item Revisions v3 beta instead of v2 with a bg2 only bwp install. The install itself went fine, but the log obviously shows loads of "hunk failed" errors while applying the fixpack patches to the v3 beta tp2. How serious is this?

As long as you can prevent BWP from trying to patch/fix IR V3 I think the two can along well together pretty much as they always did.

I am guessing that just renaming the "item_rev" folder in the big world fixpack folder will do the trick without messing with any of the bat files, but will wait a bit for confirmation before trying this. While on the topic, it will also be required to edit the bwp install batch file to reflect the new component nos. in the v3 beta tp2.I'm not an expert of BWP but if I have to guess the problem could be that BWP Fixpack probably contains IR V2 Hotfixes, and trying to use those on IR V3 would surely mess up IR a lot.
