This is becoming a bit repetitive, but I stumbled upon another problem. I've begun to roam Nearinfinity but I still have no idea what I'm supposed to look for.

Basically, the game is stuttering, and I've found that it's being caused by Kachiko because, when I ctrl+Y her, the problem goes away, but then when I resurrect her, completely bereft of any equipment on, the stutter returns.

I minimized the game in such an instance and found an error report on TOB script extender (that CMD window that works in the background). And it appears again and again, like 4 times a second or so.

DETOUR_CEffectProfficiencyMod::DETOUR_ApplyEffect() Invalid wParam2Low

Any idea what this might be? I considered it could be because of one of those treaties of swordsmanship (+2 longsword proficiency, although i noticed they magically disappear after a few game loads, so i had to shadowkeeper them back), but I used them on other characters to no ill effects. I THINK the stutter started after the completion of the TS island quest and her resurrection, but I have no idea what the cause is exactly. Maybe I need to modify a script but I don't know which it could be (or maybe the effect).

I've already tried removing all her weapon proficiencies with Shadowkeeper, so I'm left with finding the effect file or script that does this, but how do I identify it? I mean i know how (open nearinfinity ans start searching blind), but how do I know what to look for?

Hmm, oddly enough, the problem solved itself.

It was the strangest thing. I played through the whole Spellhold part up until I beat Irenicus and whatever. The stutter had grown worse and it was more or less unbearable by that point. I was seriously considering just killing Kachiko off (just removing her from the party didn't cut it) but then I had some flash of inspiration and clicked the rest button and got the slayer dream.

And when the dream ended, there was no stutter anymore! Imagine that...

I even saved and reloaded to make sue whatever botched script was causing the problem didn't start again, and it didn't. So far so good, although my games still save abysmally slow.

And with this, I ask a favor. What command do i have to insert into the CLUA console to start that dream again? Just in case some stutter appears in the future, it'll be nice to run(or set a variable for the dream to show up when resting) the dream and make things well again.

If it was the dream sequence that was causing the lag, you don't want to reset it... you might try to rest more often though, and in different places if one place doesn't kick it another one could.

The stutter WASN't caused by the dream actually. As I said, it showed up before I reached spellhold and was caused by Kachiko somehow (it stopped only when she died). I think the transition to and from the dream sequence cleared the scripts, reset them, cleaned them up, whatever :P.

And I did rest a lot so it wasn't that either.
