Well, i would really want o see this mod finished, but from what i have seen, there are not updates for quite some time, so... is this mod dead? (PLEASE SAY NO)

I thinks it's dead. I had a talk about this project and I'm afraid it will be never released. I also tried to contact the author, but he's not responding. If there was any chance, I would offer my help, but since the modder isn't here, with us, anymore...
If there's someone who has the access to the workroom, he or she could take a look at the current state of the mod - maybe if there is a lot of completed content, a modder or two could make the simplified version, or even finish it up, yet I doubt Liam, Choo or SConrad would give a permission to do so.

Sir Kalthorine works in the army, and has no Internet access for extended periods of time when on mission, so his extended absence doesn't equal lack of interest.
Of course, it's entirely possible that he's no longer interested in BG2 and this mod; also, as Lava pointed out, the modding community holds its work to an higher standard than the game itself, and will attack anybody who tries to resurrect a 90% mod.

I am sure someone - maybe the bigg, maybe Liam - will try to ask him once there is a chance. Until then, the only thing we can do is to wait.

This would like to say that when i first created this topic last year i never expected to have optimistic reply, but you, Sir Kalthorine,is made of awesome!
