Hello everyone!
I suppose this forum is the right place to ask this.. I'm looking to replay through TOB. I've honestly only went through it once without mods, and this time I'm interested in making it through properly.
So, which mods would you sudgest for the best TOB experience?
I've concluded that Ascension and Longer Road are kinda irreplacable, but which others would you sudgest?
Any experiences with TOB Revisited Beta, or Wheels of Prophecy?
Thanks!

the answer is so subjective you generally wont get one!
if it helps most people say longer road is optional but wheels of prophecy is mandatory. there is also turnabout, which requires ascension. mI think last but not least there is an npc mod out there with tob content only, as well as the sarevok romance, which is tob only.
there are also a lot of bg2 soa mods which affect tob, so be aware of that!

Wow, that's a tough one... I've never played the ToB portion of BG2 without going through SoA as well. The Longer Road is definitely worth a look, as well as the Sarevok romance.
I still haven't had time to test drive Wheels of Prophecy, so I can't recommend it.
As Enkida said, though, tastes differ, so it's going to be difficult to give you a straight answer. And in my book, SoA and ToB flow seamlessly from one into the other, so I have a whole different bunch of mods which impact both to recommend (with Xan on the top of that list), but you really can't use those mods without having gone through SoA first.

Honestly, I don't like touching content mods. The farthest I've ever gone is Wheels of Prophecy and some Unfinished Business components. More than that tends to destroy the atmosphere for me. Besides that, it's only rule changes and tweaks to the existing game for me, (Spell/ItemRevisions, TobEx, Sword Coast Stratagems, etc.)
I don't know what Wheels of Prophecy does - I read the summary of it the first time way back when and I've included it in every single mod install since then, but I have no clue what it does. That's the sort of mod I like - one that's so seamless I don't even notice.

I've never played it through, but the biggest thing I am aware that it does is sort of like Unfinished Business, in that it restores cut scenes to the Grove that were there before, complete with audio files, but never made it to the final game due to time or budget or scripting or something. It may do something else, but for me, it sounds like "content restore" rather than "mod add on" so I take it on faith that it's mandatory. :-)

Thanks for the replies everyone!
I have to agree though. After having sifted through the SOA mods more carefully, one can't really go into TOB properly without playing at least SOA first, and preferably having went through the entire BGT..
I did a few things though. Wheels of Prophecy is.. amazing!
Apsolute content-restoration of the grove scene, and it frankly.. is amazing. Also, I've noted that as a mega-mod instalation it is better to get Ascencion related stuff through Big Picture.. the entire mod is there. Also you can use Leonardo Watson's installpack.
(With which I seem to be having a few problems as of late... apparently it won't find my GOG folder for BG1, and after I fixed that it refuses to acknowledge BGT mod in my SOA folder... :_( )

I've played Wheels of Prophecy but it was about three years back. It does altar some content with Balthazar and is quite interesting for one playthrough.
Longer Road I enjoyed (despite the typos). Ascension has a lot of good stuff about it but for me, personally, I'd rather the final battle wasn't so ridiculous as I'm not into tactics-type stuff.
I can recommend the Sarevok romance and Iylos.
