Hello
I've come back recently to playing Baldur's Gate and decided that I want a little more adventure in it.
That's when i turned to the BiG World Project and I liked it a lot.
After studying the BWP install order v11 for a long time I finally decided what to install.
After some downloading (only the newest versions of mods and so on), unpacking it all to the BG2 folder and so on I tried to start the install.
As it is stated in the pdf file it is recommended to run the Fixpack to fix some issues with a number of mods.
I've looked through the documentation in the Fixpack and I've found entries regarding some mods I was going to install. So .. hey why not fix problems before they get to me.
I've double-clicked the .bat file and all was running just too smoothly. - the only thing the bat told me was that every mod has been <Already fixed>. After some more research and manually finding the "supposedly altered" lines of code I came to find that actually - NOTHING has been fixed. Every file that should be altered was NOT. After the whole process i also got the file BiG World Fixpack.installed which was empty cause nothing happened (i don't know if this is not correct cause I don't have earlier experience with this). The only thing that supposedly was fixed by the fixpack was the zeroed offsets on some creatures cause that was the only thing the bat file choked on for a second.
Any thoughts how to make the fixpack work? or should I postpone the installation until a v12 or other comes out?

BiG World Fixpack not fixing anything

Well I have tried a couple more times and even did some experiments on dummy folders with only one mod, weidu.exe and BWFixpack. Unfortunately Nothing works. the only thing I get is an empty .installed file and a debug file which contents are below
Now I feel like maybe I have done sth wrong but only thing I did was install the game, unpack mods and run the fixpack. Just like in the book. And its a no-go.
Anyone get an idea what to do? As I;'m desperate enough to do everything manually but it'll take me a lot of time and effort.
Any suggestions?

I'm also coming back into BWP after a hiatus and I ran into the same problem. When using Windows 7 (in a Parallels VM), patch.exe has permissions problems, even when using a generic folder, shutting of UAC, and all the other things mentioned in the MegaMod Help forum when dealing with Windows 7 and weidu et al. When I fired up a XP SP3 virtual machine, all patches worked normally. My focus right now is getting a version of BWP 11.1 that I like working, so I'm staying with the XP VM, but I'll eventually tackle a way to cleanly "BWP" in Windows 7.
