I ran SETUP-BGT.exe from C:\Program Files (x86)\Black Isle\BGII - SoA in English and selected yes when it asked if I wanted to biff the files.

The error reads:

ERROR: error loading [C:\Program Files (x86)\Black Isle\Baldur's Gate/override/karoug.cre]
Stopping installation because of error.

ERROR Installing [Baldur's Gate Trilogy - Core], rolling back to previous state
Will Uninstall 0 files for [SETUP-BGT.TP2]componenet 0
Uninstalled 0 files for [SETUP-BGT.TP2]componenet 0
ERROR: Unix.unix_error(20, "stat", "C:\Program Files (x86)\Black Isle\Baldur's Gate/override/karoug.cre")

I attached the debug file.

Never, ever install older games in Program Files.

I've had 0 problems with games installed to my program files folder that I couldn't fix.

Will installing to a different location fix the error?

Where is a better install location?

Solved, TotSC patch was improperly installed.
