Keeping CMD window open in Windows 7 during BW install

Issue: CMD window closes during running of Big World Install on windows 7 64bit.


I found a fix for this.

Firstly make a shortcut of the Big World Install.bat found in your BGII-SoA folder and place it onto your desktop.

Right click and go to properties.

In the target window change the path too..C:\Windows\system32\CMD.EXE /K " then the location of the bat file".

see eg below


C:\Windows\system32\CMD.EXE /K "D:\Program Files (x86)\Black Isle\BGII - SoA\BiG World Install.bat"

Now when running Big World install the CMD will stay open.

The addition of C:\Windows\system32\CMD.EXE /K forces CMD to stay open in Windows.
