I am having trouble with some of my spells in a BWP Mega-Mod install (used BWS application "Recommended BWP" settings with a few additions). I currently have SCSI & SCSII installed with pre-casting enabled. As of now I am still going through BG1 of my BGT game.
Currently I have a level 4 Wild Mage and the problem occurs when I face off against enemy mage NPCs. Since pre-casting is enabled with SCS, the enemy mages cast a bunch of protection spells, making the fight more difficult. What I am noticing is that the effects of some spells are not enabling when they should be.
Two prime examples that I have been using as tests are Magic Missile & Dispel Magic (Priest version). Facing off against Lendarn(enemy mage inside the Firewine Ruins), his pre-cast spells are:
Shield
Mirror Image
Ghost Armor
Improved Invisibility
Minor Globe of Invulnerability
Using Viconia's Dispel Magic (she is currently lvl 5 in my game, giving dispel a 55% chance to dispel Minor Globe), I have repeatably tried to dispel the Minor Globe of Invulnerability but to no effect, and I've tried to dispel it countless times. When I tried using the innate version of the spell, it works perfectly fine.
Same with Magic Missile. Once Minor Globe dissipates on its own, Magic Missile should be at least hitting the Mirror Images, but the spell hits the target without doing anything. The innate version of the spell works perfectly.
I've tried it with other mage npcs as well. Kahrk the Ogre Mage at the Firewine Ruins casts the same protection spells (with the addition of Haste) and the above problems happen as well.
If anyone can provide some insight, that would be great.
