Context: Trying to install the BigWorld Mod.

Problem: I am just being told in a rather impertinent command prompt that the [a]bove files are still missing in the Baldur's Gate folder. Please copy them from the Baldur's Gate CD or DVD into the appropriate directories and then press enter."

The mentioned "above files" are my entire data folder which happens to be exactly where it should be in the Baldur's Gate folder.

So how do I explain that to the program?

Well, you install the BG1 to a folder and directory that IS NOT the C -drives Program Files folder/sub-folder... IOW the C:\Games\Baldur's Gate\ -for example. And then you install/extract this into it...

And then you make the install with the BiG World Setup, and not the manually / install BiG Wolrd Install pack.

That's the easy -way out.

Yep, Jarno Mikkola. my Mega Mod FAQ. Use of the BWS, and how to use it(scroll down that post a bit).
OK, desert dweller, welcome to the sanity, you are free to search for the limit, it's out there, we drew it in the sand. Ouh, actually it was still snow then.. but anyways.

If you are sure that things are ok, you can edit the BiG World Installpack\BG1_Check.bat.
Go to the bottom and change
exit /b %x%
into
exit /b 0
.
THINK! - It's not illegal.
