Hey everyone,

Was trying to install BGT 1.17,but keep coming up with this install ERROR:

I am running Windows 8 64-bit with both BG 1 and 2 purchased and installed from Gog (both in C:\Gog\Baldur's Gate and C:\Gog\Balder's Gate 2)

I have also installed the BG2 Fixpack.

Thanks for any help!

[bgt/base/baf/ar4800.baf]  ERROR at line 1 column 0--1
Near Text:
    Failure("lexing: empty token")
ERROR: parsing [bgt/base/baf/ar4800.baf]: Failure("lexing: empty token")
ERROR: error compiling [bgt/base/baf/ar4800.baf]: Failure("lexing: empty token")
ERROR: compiling [bgt/base/baf/ar4800.baf]!
Stopping installation because of error.

That should be the cause of failure, thought I have no clue why it fails. ar4800.baf is an empty file, which should compile with no problems I think.

I guess you'll have to wait for someone more competent than me, to come up with a solution.

The only remotely helpful thing I could think of, is for you to got to the bgt/base/baf/ folder and open ar4800.baf (you can open it like a .txt file), to check whether it is really empty or maybe got somehow corrupted while unpacking.

Thanks Ulb.

Checked the file and it is empty. Any one have any fixes? Or know where I can find the proper file content?

The file is indeed empty in BGT 1.17, and has been like that in BGT for a while at least. It doesn't prevent installation of the mod, I just checked on my side. Differences with your configuration is that I have a CD version (not GOG) and I didn't have BG2 Fixpack installed.

I have no clue what's wrong on your side. I have Windows 7 64 bits on my side but I've never heard of issues specific to Windows 8.

I was getting the lexing empty token error. I opened the files in question with notepad++ and found they contained a single null character. Deleted that character & saved the offending file & it ran fine (though I had to do this with several files before bgt ran all the way.)

Just wondering if this issue's been resolved! We've been having the same problem.
